Ballyboden St Enda's have been awarded this year's Dublin GAA AFL Division 1 title by the county's Competitions Control Committee. The club had been due to play Kilmacud Crokes in the final on Wednesday evening at Parnell Park. However, Kilmacud - the reigning Dublin and All-Ireland champions - were unable to field at team.

Unfortunately and regrettably, tonight’s Division One League Final is OFF, as Kilmacud Crokes have informed the County Board that they cannot field a team.— Ballyboden St Endas (@Bodengaa) December 6, 2023
Kilmacud defeated Naas in the Leinster final at Croke Park on Saturday evening. They will face the winners of this weekend's Ulster final between Glen and Scotstown in the All-Ireland semi-final in early January.
Already this season, Kilmacud had defeated Ballyboden by eight points to claim their third consecutive Dublin SFC title.
"Following the disappointment of the Senior Football Div 1 League Final being called off on [Wednesday], we can confirm the CCC of the Dublin County Board have awarded the game to [Ballyboden St Enda's]," Ballyboden chairman Jack Nolan said in a statement.
"On behalf of Adult Football Committee & the wider club we wish to congratulate our Senior Men's Footballers, Kenny Naughton, the management & backroom team on winning the League Title having finished top after a lengthy campaign."
