Ahead of this year's GAA championships we're celebrating all that's good about the fans that will be decorating the summer with their colour and stories. First up, it's Sligo GAA fans, ahead of their clash with London in the Connacht championship. The Yeats' county may not have had much to celebrate in recent years but at least they've had a provincial championship win this century, which is more than can be said for some so-called weaker counties.
They also boast a unique and gorgeous colour combination, but here are a few more reasons why we love Sligo GAA fans.
Sligo GAA Fans: A Tribute
This guy
The hat, the moustache, the old style white and black jersey - there's so much to love about him.
They love to dress up for the occasion
A wonderful array of hats.
They're damn cool
Another moustache but it has nothing on the orginal fella.
They travel in style
Their struggle over to decide whether to go with black or white has always been troubling but they have no such indecision when it comes to limos; white all the way!
They get emotional
Some quality fist pumping.
They start young
My favourite one here has to be the toddler in the prison hat.
They love getting closer to the action
He won't miss a beat this lad!
