Mount Sion fell short of reaching their first Waterford SHC decider since 2014 on Sunday, losing out by two points to Passage in the second semi-final of the weekend.
Passage won the game 0-26 to 1-21. They had led by eight points at the break but Mount Sion began to slowly close the gap.
Late in the second half, Austin Gleeson cut Passage's advantage to four with an inspirational score.
The 2016 Hurler of the Year exchanged passes with Owen Whelan before setting off on a run down the sideline while opposed by Callum O'Neill, Adam Roche and John Whitty of Passage. Gleeson then cut inside and finished off the move with a strike off his left.
Passage will face Ballygunner in the final on Sunday after they overcame Lismore in the other last-four game.
In a game which will be live on TG4, Ballygunner will be aiming to win their seventh Waterford title in a row. Passage were the last team to beat Ballygunner in a Waterford final back in 2013.
Highlights of the Passage and Mount Sion game, along with that of seven others, will be shown at 8pm on Monday August 24th.
