Roscommon defeated Cavan in Breffni Park for the second year in succession yesterday. They ran up an impressive 3-17 against a famously tight defence, although it should be recalled that Cavan played the entirety of the second half with fourteen after Tomas Corr was sent off in curious circumstances.
They got an awful land against Sligo in the Connacht championship after entering the tie on a wave of confidence. The criticism meted out to the team and management after the match was intense.
Shane Curran, in particular, was very unsparing.
