Milford won the All-Ireland senior club camogie title with an eight-point victory over Killimor on Sunday.
Late in the second half, Milford midfielder Ashling Thompson departed the Croke Park pitch with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
So severe was the pain, Thompson had to leave the pitch on a stretcher while being given oxygen.
After the final whistle, as Milford captain Sarah Sexton and her teammates made their way to collect the Bill Carroll Cup, Thompson was not going to be absent for the celebrations.
