Stevie McDonnell, the former Armagh captain and 3 time All-Star winner has decided to call time on his inter county playing career. The 33year old Killeavy man had been struggling with injury since before Christmas, and made his announcement over Twitter this evening.
After 13 years of playing county football with Armagh I have decided that the time is right for me to retire at this level and move on.

McDonnell was an integral part of the Armagh All-Ireland winning team in 2002, and went on to become one of the most clinical forwards in the country. He will no doubt be missed amongst the Orchard faithful.
