The CCCC have proposed suspending five players in the wake of the melee before the start of the Armagh-Cavan game in the Ulster championship.
The disciplinary body has recommended that three Armagh players, Brendan Donaghy, Kieran Toner and Andy Mallon be handed one match bans, and they have advised that Cavan players Fergal Flanagan and Martin Dunne (who was left the field with his arm in a sling after the brawl) also be given one match bans.
They have also urged the GAA to fine Cavan and Armagh €5,000 a-piece.
Armagh have already disclosed that they are appealing the decision. The brawl, which occurred as the times lined up for the parade before the game, was elevated to the status of shameful scenes after footage emerged of this fan throwing a punch at one of the Cavan players during the row.
Cavan confirm to me that Martin Dunne and Feargal Flanagan are in line for one-match bans. 5000e fine too. To appeal or not undecided. #GAA
