According to reports today, the CCCC has ordered Anthony Masterson to apologise in writing for expressing his emotions after Wexford's season ending in ridiculous fashion two weeks ago in Portlaoise or face an eight week ban.

Balls.ie doesn't know Anthony Masterson, but if we did, we'd tell him this: don't apologise to anyone. Don't apologise because you expressed your honest emotions when someone threw a microphone in your face five minutes after the match. Don't apologise for conveying your version of contested events, happenings which you had a front-row seat for, don't apologise for exposing the shambles of GAA refereeing, don't apologise for being enraged when the hard work and sacrifice of seven months disappears into thin air when you've been blatantly let down by desperate refereeing. Don't apologise for anything.
