Donegal club player David White has been hit with a not-as-strict-as-the-Derry-player-got-but-still-pretty-severe 24 week ban for an intemperate comment on social media.

White sent out the offending tweet on 18 October in response to the Donegal GAA Twitter account's confirmation that a drawn quarter-final would be played Wednesday night. White was annoyed they hadn't just played extra-time the first day.

This may well be the offending tweet.

According to Chris McNulty of the Donegal News, the relevant parties regard the ban as 'extremely excessive' and it will be appealed. This latest ban follows on from the  staggering 48-week suspension handed out to Ballinderry's Aaron Devlin.
