Dublin hurler Shane Durkin has officially been voted as the sexiest GAA player in Ireland by a panel of 1,000 American women.
The poll, commissioned by Paddy Power, was purposely designed to be based purely on looks, with no bias towards specific counties. This results in a rather unexpected collection of hurlers and footballers, with fan favourites like Aidan O'Shea and Bernard Brogan polling very poorly.
The top ten reads:

- Paddy Holloway - Westmeath
- Eoin Cadogan - Cork
- Fergal Moore - Galway
- Kieran Joyce - Kilkenny
- Aidan Forker - Armagh
- Paddy McBrearty - Donegal
- Anthony Maher - Kerry
- Stephen Cronin - Cork
- Danny Cummins - Galway
The aforementioned Brogan comes in at 42nd while his teammate Michael Darragh MacAuley creeps on at 87th. Galway have the most amount of players in the top 100, with 12 players featuring.
However when you take into account all the intercounty players in Ireland, it paints an interesting picture. Despite only having one player in the top 100, Cavan comes in as the 12th most handsome county when you take the average of each player. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Roscommon!
My own bias aside, Antrim, Sligo and Dublin can also be proud of their results.
