We're embarking on another weekend of football matches and a chance to redeem ourselves after what was frankly a disaster last weekend.
Perhaps the most annoying of last week's bets that went by the way side was Jamie Clarke first goalscorer against Leitrim. We were right in that the game promised goals for Armagh but Clarke went and waited until they'd scored six before netting his two goals. Anyhow, time to dust ourselves off and step back up to the plate.
This week we have two tips. One for those of you just looking to double your money and another for those looking for a decently prized gamble.
Donegal v Monaghan – Under 28.5 points at 5/6
This seems to be a banker. While I also fancy the spread on Monaghan at +6, they will only manage that by packing as many men as possible behind the ball to keep Donegal at bay. It makes for a dower spectacle but we'll not complain if we make some money out of it.
In Monaghan's two matches to date the total scores have been 17 points and 25 points, while in Donegal's two matches it's been 26 points and 21 points. So as you can see, no match has broken the 28.5 barrier and we fully expect Sunday to be no different.
Derry v Cavan – Cavan to win both halves 5/1
What a difference a week makes. This time last week we had a funny feeling about Fermanagh but Cavan took our prediction, turned it sideways, and shoved it straight up our candy asses.
The gulf between them and Fermanagh last week was quite something compared to their Ulster quarter-final clash mere weeks beforehand. Cavan ran out seven point winners last Saturday but in truth were a least ten points the better team and never even seemed to get out of second gear for most of the match. They seem to have more in the tank, and that's why we think this clash with Derry is not as clear-cut as some people think.
Granted Derry are favourites for reason but they're more open style of play may play into Cavan's hands. One would also wonder how focused they'll be on this tie or have their heads been turned by the possibility of a quarter-final, given the winners of this will most likely face London in the next round.

You can get Cavan just to win at 15/8 but given that they've started well in all their matches to date we're going to go out on limb and say Cavan half-time/full-time at 5/1.
