For most of the second half between Mayo and Fermanagh at MacHale Park, it looked like the Connacht side were heading out of the Championship.
Fermanagh held a six-point lead at the half though were reeled in by a Mayo side who had the wind behind them in the second 35 minutes.
With less than seven minutes left - and Fermanagh still leading by a point - Mayo were awarded a penalty by referee Joe McQuillan.
Aidan O'Shea received a nudge in the back. For a man of O'Shea physique he went down incredibly easily.
Cillian O'Connor dispatched the penalty for Mayo to give them a two point lead.
Was this a penalty for Mayo? Cillian O'Connor has converted it, regardless of the controversy. @rteone now. https://t.co/2mhbDJIPfY

Reaction online - even from Mayo legend David Brady - left no doubt that O'Shea had taken a dive and that Joe McQuillan had made the wrong decision.
No penalty great ball by McLoughlin disgrace of a call from Ref..

If that's a penalty, should be 10 in every game.

Mayo would eventually win the game by five points but the penalty was a crucial moment which turned the game in Mayo's favour.
