The Roscommon minors defeated Galway in a thrilling game at Hyde Park on Friday.
There were two points between the sides at the final whistle but for a long stretch of the game, it looked as though Galway would be the team leaving with the win.
Galway held an eight-point advantage at the break, leading 1-11 to 0-6. The following half hour saw a complete turnaround with the Rossies reeling in the Tribesmen, outscoring them 1-11 to 0-4.
The key moment came midway through the second half when substitute Aaron Oyiki, wearing number eight, smashed the ball to the roof of the Galway net.
After turning the ball over in midfield, a long ball towards the Roscommon full-forward line was tapped down to Oyiki. He made no mistake with the finish.
The superb Adam McDermott subsequently scored a trio of points as Roscommon won 1-17 to 1-15.
There were great scenes at the final whistle when teammates mobbed goal hero Oyiki.
