Monaghan were appearing in their very first Senior Final - and their day would come.

Waterford prevailed yet again over Monaghan in the 1995 Final, before Monaghan claimed back-to-back titles in 1996 and 1997.

25 years on from the 1994 decider, which was played on October 9th at Croke Park, the LGFA reunited two of the main protagonists from that fixture; Waterford's Marie Crotty and Monaghan's Brenda McAnespie.

Marie was inducted into the LGFA Hall of Fame in 2018, and Brenda will feature on a forthcoming episode of Laochra Gael, due to air in early 2019.
