The club season comes to an end this weekend with the final All-Ireland finals but the Allianz League is fully underway now. Hurling has the spotlight this weekend and there's some crackers lined up this weekend. Here's some standout GAA fixtures to keep an eye out for this weekend.
5 Standout GAA Fixtures this weekend
Ballygunner vs Shamrocks Ballyhale
In the other All-Ireland club final this weekend Ballygunner of Waterford take on Shamrocks Ballyhale of Kilkenny on the AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Final. Shamrocks come into this match as the most successful club in the history of the All-Ireland Club Championship, having won it eight times while Ballygunner are competing in their first ever All-Ireland final and hope to become the first team from Waterford to win the title. It's a David vs Goliath match-up and it's can't miss. Catch it on Saturday on TG4 from 3pm.
Kilcoo vs Kilmacud Crokes
This is the only football game this weekend and it's a big one. Kilcoo of Down take on Kilmacud Crokes from Dublin in the AIB GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Final. Kilcoo are looking to win their first All-Ireland title while Crokes are looking to repeat the feat they made back in 2009. The game is live on TG4 on Saturday afternoon at 5pm
Limerick vs Galway
After losing away in Wexford last weekend, the All-Ireland Champions Limerick return home to the Gaelic Grounds to take on Galway. Henry Shefflin got off to a winning start as Galway manager last weekend as Galway thrashed Offaly at Pearse Stadium. It should be a great game and the match is live on RTÉ on Saturday night as well so you can't miss it.
Tipperary vs Kilkenny
The old foes go at it again this weekend. This is one of the best rivalries in all of sport, let alone hurling and the roots of this rivalry are deep. Both sides won last weekend as well so it is first vs second in Group B of the Allianz Hurling League. Catch the match on TG4 on Sunday afternoon.
Clare vs Wexford
After a great win against Limerick last weekend, Wexford will be looking to continue their winning form this weekend when they travel to Ennis to take on Clare. Their hosts Clare lost last weekend away in Cork so they'll be looking for their first win of the Allianz League campaign at home. The match is on TG4 this Sunday at 1:45pm.
