Kieran Donaghy has clarified reports in the media today saying he has left his job with Ulster Bank to temporarily concentrate full time on Gaelic football.
The Kerryman man confirmed that he will be leaving Ulster Bank in Tralee but is also actively looking for new employment. Today's Irish Independent said that Donaghy had no plans to rejoin the work force until after this year's Championship or possibly even 2016 which would allow him fully commit to Kerry football.
Here's the statement, released via Twitter.
I'm finishing up in Ulster Bank Tralee in the coming days. I'd like to thank all staff and management at Ulster Bank for a great experience. It's the right time and the start of a new journey for me.
However contrary to reports in the media today I am already looking at new opportunities in employment and excited for what the future holds.
Donaghy will captain Kerry in this year's Championship.
