Dublin and Derry's half-time trek to the dressing rooms was met with a chorus of boos from the 19,224 spectators gathered at Croke Park on Saturday evening.
The two Allianz League Division 1 teams had just played out a dour, defensive 0-3 to 0-2 scoreline. The second half was not much better, as the game totalled just 12 scores in all.
It finished 0-8 to 0-4 in Dublin's favour. Many Dubs in attendance must have endured flashbacks to the 2011 All-Ireland semi-final against Donegal, at least that game had more points.
This is how Twitter reacted to the game.
Dublin leading 0-3 to 0-2 at half-time. Not a fascinating tactical battle. Just shite.

I see Derry playing that new 14-1 formation @JoeBrolly1993 pic.twitter.com/Iag8IyAELY

The Hill booing Derry's slow build up. But with 13 Dubs behind the ball, not much else they can do pic.twitter.com/aNCeyEriL1

Was trying to decide what to write about for Thursday's @irishnewssport column, at least that's one positive to come from this game!

Could the clocks go forward a bit earlier so that this bloody game would be over?

Worst Dublin half ever?

Crowd in Croke Park should walk out in protest of the carryon that is engulfing our beautiful game
— Kevin Cassidy (@KCASS7) March 28, 2015
Yes it was Donegal that started it but that doesn't mean I agree with it

Haven't heard boos like this in Croker since the Dublin-Donegal semi-final in 2011

Don't care what brand of football is being played booing is not acceptable #gaa #dublinderry #AllianzLeagues

Tough going for Dubs so far, struggling against the blanket defence. I know it's hard to watch but don't like the crowd booing it #GAA
— Tomás Quinn (@mossyquinn) March 28, 2015
Not sure Dublin will be given credit for that shut-out this evening. As Kerry showed last year, you adapt or die. #GAA

19,224 here...some of them are still awake #gaa

I'm really impressed with how the introduction of the black card has opened up Gaelic Football @JoeBrolly1993 #gaa

Treated to more scores from the stars of the future at half time #NoBlanket #Gaa
