Dublin are set to take on Kilkenny this weekend in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship final which is set to close out a captivating provincial campaign. Here’s everything you need to know about Dublin v Kilkenny
For defending champions Kilkenny, they will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run in the championship so far. The Cats campaign started off strong with a blistering 5-30 to 0-13 home win over Antrim before being held level 2-23 to 0-29 away to Galway in round two. A shock 1-20 to 1-20 draw away to Carlow followed in round three before Derek Lyng’s side beat the Dubs in round four.
In the final round of fixtures, Kilkenny faced off against Wexford at Nowlan Park with a place at the Leinster final at stake. A controversial penalty which was finished off by T.J Reid helped the Cats get a 1-24 to 2-20 win over the Yellowbellies and clinch top spot in the group.

In Dublin’s case, they will be hoping to clinch their first provincial championship since 2013. The Dubs campaign began with a 1-21 to 2-18 draw away to Wexford, before beating Carlow 1-24 to 0-22 at Dr. Cullen Park in round two. Round three saw the Boys in Blue comfortably defeat Antrim 3-32 to 1-18 in Parnell Park before Micheál Donoghue’s side were defeated at home to Kilkenny.
A trip to Pearse Stadium to face Galway followed for Dublin in the final round in a match which would decide the counties championship fate. A red card to Galway’s David Burke in the 16th minute for a challenge on Fergal Whitey allowed the Dubs to kick on and win 2-27 to 1-24.

In their round-robin match up, Kilkenny battled their way to a tight win over the Dubs, with a last gasp Eoin Cody giving the Black and Amber a 1-28 to 2-23 win in Parnell Park.
The winner of this will advance to the All-Ireland semi-final while the runners-up will face either the Joe McDonagh Cup winners or Cork in the All-Ireland quarter-final.

Derek Lyng has named one change to the Kilkenny side which beat Wexford last time out. Adrian Mullen starts in the attack in place of Tom Phelan who is named on the bench. John Donnelly, who scored 0-07 in the Cats round-robin game win over Dublin, starts despite injury concerns.
