Loughmore-Castleiney, Cratloe, Crossabeg Ballymurn, Naas, Na Fianna, Kilmacud Crokes, Slaughtneil and Dicksboro are the only dual clubs still standing, with ongoing double aspirations.
We pick the outstanding dual club players of the season so far.
1 Jack Cassidy (Slaughtneil)
Has settled into the goals well for the footballers, and is a key man out the field for the hurlers, scoring 0-9 in their quarter final win over Kevin Lynch's at the weekend.
2 Eoin Fennelly (Dicksboro)
Captained the footballers to county glory back in May and has been a staple in defence for the club's hurlers, with a crunch semi-final coming up this weekend vs O'Loughlin Gaels.
3 Conor McHugh (Na Fianna)
A rare one in that he plays full back for the hurlers and full forward for the footballers.
Has two semi-finals over the next two weekends, the football first against Kilmacud followed by the hurling against local rivals St Vincent's.
4 Fionn McEldowney (Slaughtneil)
Captain of Derry's Ulster minor football winning team of '23, McEldowney has impressed in both codes for Slaughtneil.

5 Diarmuid Ryan (Cratloe)
The All-Ireland winning hurler is a powerful presence in the middle third on both Cratloe teams.
6 Paudie Foley (Crossabeg Ballymurn)
The former Leinster championship winning Wexford hurler has returned home from his travels to help his club, with a senior hurling quarter final and a senior football semi-final coming up.
7 Brian Byrne (Naas)
Key man for Naas on both teams, with semi-finals coming up in both codes, as they seek a fourth double in a row.
8 Noel McGrath (Loughmore-Castleiney)
The orchestrator-in-chief for for Loughmore-Castleiney, in both codes.
“Everyone knows we give it 50/50 so the football gets our full attention this week. That’s the way we do it, that’s what we are used to," he told the Irish Independent of their dual exploits.
9 Brendan Rogers (Slaughtneil)
Central in both codes, as Slaughtneil bid for a first double since 2020.
10 Cathal McInerney (Cratloe)
The 2013 All-Ireland winner remains a prominent scorer for Cratloe on both fronts, hitting 1-2 in the hurling quarter final recently.
11 Shane McGuigan (Slaughtneil)
Hit 0-4 from play for the hurlers in their quarter final win over main rivals Kevin Lynch's at the weekend. Meanwhile the footballers are in the quarter final this weekend against Ballinascreen, with McGuigan in top form.
12 Cormac Costello (Whitehall-Colmcille)
Was back in action for the hurlers this year, scoring three from play in their quarter final loss to Lucan Sarsfields. Having been relegated last year, the footballers are in the Senior 2 semi-final this weekend.
13 John McGrath (Loughmore-Castleiney)
The year has been very similar to 2021, where McGrath won man-of-the-match after man-of-the-match as his club won the double.
14 Con O'Callaghan (Cuala)
Hit 1-4 in their football quarter final win over Castleknock and also helped the hurlers stave off relegation with their play-off semi-final win over St Jude's last weekend.
15 Oisin Foley (Crossabeg Ballymurn)
Captain of the club's football team who are through to their first ever senior semi-final while the hurlers are one step behind them in the quarters, with Foley hitting four from play in their preliminary quarter final win over Cloughbawn.
