The 2019 PwC All-Star hurling team has been announced.
All-Ireland champions Tipperary dominate the selection with seven players.
Between the sticks, Brian Hogan joins his father, Ken, as an All-Star. It makes them the first ever father and son duo to win All-Stars in the same position.
Brendan Maher completes his comeback from last year's cruciate knee ligament injury by winning his third All-Star. He is joined in defence by Cathal Barrett, Ronan Maher and Paudie Maher. Paudie equals the Tipp record of Nicky English and Eoin Kelly by winning his sixth award.
Tipperary's other winners are Noel McGrath in midfield and Séamus Callanan in the forwards. Callanan is also up for Hurler of the Year. That will be announced at Friday evening's All-Star ceremony. Patrick Horgan and TJ Reid are the other nominees for the accolade.
In all, there are five counties represented in the XV. The winners include Kilkenny's TJ Reid, Pádraig Walsh and Colin Fennelly; Limerick duo Seán Finn and Aaron Gillane; Wexford pair Diarmuid O'Keeffe and Lee Chin; and Cork's Patrick Horgan.
Wexford's winners are their first All-Stars since Damien Fitzhenry in 2004. Tipp's seven awards sees their overall All-Star total rise to 104.
