Austin Stacks beat Mid Kerry in the Kerry Senior Football Championship final replay at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney on Sunday. The Tralee side won on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-07.
Kieran Donaghy starred for Austin Stacks scoring 1-2 and winning a penalty which was converted by Pat McCarthy.
It completes an incredible 10 or so weeks for Donaghy which started with him coming off the bench against Mayo in the All-Ireland semi-final to help Kerry to a draw and has now ended with him winning a county championship with his club. It also means that Donaghy will likely captain Kerry next year as the winners of the Senior Football Championship in the county select the county captain for the following year.
