Even in a city full of egos like Los Angeles, the cartoonish self-confidence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic can stick out like a sore thumb.
Now playing his football with LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week.
Kimmel has interviewed some of Hollywood's biggest names, but still, he was blown amused by the Swede's self-assurance.
Upon his arrival in LA, the 36-year-old took out a full-page ad in the LA Times, it simply read:
Dear Los Angeles,
You're welcome.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Ibrahimovic told Kimmel that prospect of playing in LA had been on his mind for a while - he wanted to give the city a gift. And then it came to him, "I should give myself."
He's not worried about his Galaxy teammates having to live in his shadow, "I make them superstars just like I make you."
Ibrahimovic also said that he would be at this summer's World Cup but he would not commit to saying if it would be in a playing capacity or otherwise.
Though, he did add, "A World Cup without me wouldn't be a World Cup."
