Looks like we finally have a date for Zlatan Ibrahimovic's switch to Manchester United.
Ever since the 34-year-old's fittingly over-the-top farewell at the Parc des Princes, the Swedish international - who, incidentally, scored a higher number of goals than his age for the first time in his career this season - has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Speaking to Swedish tv after his side's ominous 3-0 demolition of Wales, Ibrahimovic said he will confirm his next destination on Tuesday, while possibly ripping the piss out of United in the process:
There will be a big announcement on the 7th.
It will be this summer's big bomb.
Nicely done, sir. Nicely done.
It has already been confirmed that Ibrahimovic would be allowed depart the Swedish camp to take care of club business.
Boss Erik Hamren said:
We have days off. We plan our activities and the players can act based on that. I'm not going to speculate about such things.
It seems, however, that the speculation has now all but come to an end, and that Zlatan will join his former Inter boss Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford on what's believed to be a £220,000-a-week contract.
Unless, of course, he's been trolling the world for the past two months, which you really can't rule out with a man whose ego would break even the Nicklas Bendtner scale.
Either way, the football world will have its answer on Tuesday.
