It's been a disastrous week for Liverpool on the injury front. After Joe Gomez was yesterday ruled out for the season with an anterior crucial ligament injury, disaster has struck yet again with confirmation that Danny Ings will also miss the rest of the season with a similar injury.

Gomez suffered his injury on international duty with the England U21's. Something which was enough of a blow to Jurgen Klopp in itself given his impressive early season form and the lack of options at left back. Ings on the other hand returned from international duty in good shape but went down in training on Wednesday.
He was immediately sent for scans on his knee and they have now come back with the worst possible news for the new Liverpool manager. With Christian Benteke still likely to be ruled out with a hamstring injury, the German boss will have to make do with Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi as his attacking options for his first Premier League game against Spurs on Saturday.
