Ellen Keane competes in the pool in the 100m Butterfly S9 Heats at the Aquatics Centre at 11:06am Ellen was Ireland’s youngest athlete at the 2008 Beijing ParalympicGames at 13 years of age and placed sixth in the 100m breaststroke four years ago.
At the ExCel Arena, Ronan Rooney will take part in the Men’s Singles M2 Table Tennis Preliminaries at 11:40
Paracycling tandem pair James Brown and Damien Shaw will take part in the Individual Pursuit B Qualifiers at 11:06 at the Velodrome. Brown is competing at his fifthParalympic Games,
Back in the Aquatic Centre, James Scully will compete in the 50m Freestyle S5 Heats at 11:35. Ireland’s challenge for honours in table tennis continues at 1.00pm as Rena McCarron Rooney and Eimear Breathnach will take part in the Women’s Singles F1-2 Preliminaries and Philip Quinlan competes in the Men’s Singles M1 Preliminaries at the ExCel Arena 1.
At 2.00pm, Enda Smyth will compete in the individual 1Km Time Trial C1-3
