The Spaniard has made a penchant for breaking records both internationally and domestically throughout his career. He holds the club record at Barcelona for most appearances with 822. He also has the most La Liga appearances for Barca with 474.
Xavi will go down as one of the best precision passers in the history of the game and is arguably the player who brought tika taka to a new level. Last season he broke the Champions League record 100% passing record in one match. He completed an astounding 96 passes against PSG in the quarter final second leg.
He also holds the record for most passes in a match by one player at the Euros. Xavi made 859 passes against Ireland at Euro 2012. to put that into context, the entirety of the Irish team managed to complete 198 in total during the match..
