Xavi Hernandez was never a fan of Jose Mourinho and upon the special one leaving Real Madrid, the legendary Barcelona midfielder has taken aim telling sports daily AS:

Recommended

"I don't want people to say that I always attack Mourinho because that is not my intention, but it is evident that I don't like the football he plans on the pitch,
"It can't be that a rich and powerful club plays a final of the Champions League like Chelsea did or like Manchester City have played this season or, why not say it, the way Mourinho's Real Madrid played. I was captivated by the Real Madrid of the galacticos. I was crazy about watching them play like this because they had an idea and a concept... but Mourinho's Real Madrid didn't have any of this, they have not left a legacy for the future."

He also leveled some other, stranger accusations at Jose:

“We don’t let the pitch dry up so it turns into a ‘potato field’, nor do we kick the other team 30,000 times or try to turn up the heat in a game. We didn’t even do that when Madrid went above us. We’ve won, drawn and lost, but always according to a footballing philosophy. The result is an impostor, it goes beyond winning and losing,”

We love Xavi, one of us has even met him and won't shut up about it, but soon enough he'll want football matches settled by possession stats.
