Ahead of the World Cup final, you may have thought that France and Croatia were paying just for national pride, sporting immortality etc.
They were playing for much more: a brand, spanking new 40-inch TV for one of our teams at the Balls World Cup Final Viewing Party with Tony Cascarino. With thanks to Carry Out Off Licences in association with Budweiser, two teams of five football fans gathered in our office to watch the final with Tony Cascarino - an Irish legend who is an expert on the game - and Gavin Cooney - a Balls.ie writer not known to his country who knows nothing of the game.
Each of our teams were assigned a team in the World Cup final, with either Croatia or France winning the greatest prize in the football world: the World Cup a new TV.
