Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
We have finally come to the end of what was a splendid and high-quality Women's World Cup, and the first one to feature the Irish.
While, they didn't manage to get out of their group, Ireland showed that they can put it up to the very best with their narrow losses to Australia and Canada, and a battling draw with Nigeria.
The final was an entertaining affair, particularly towards the end as England searched for a an equaliser, but Spain did brilliantly to defy them in the end, and to overcome intense internal strife within their squad.
Roll on 2027.
