Cesc Fabregas has lit up the Premier League this season since joining Chelsea in the transfer window. When the numbers are crunched, you can really appreciate the impact he has had at Stamford Bridge.
The uh... Cesc radar after two games. It'll get worse, right? He'll be terrible by the end of the season. #straws pic.twitter.com/w0I0xQjLRq — Ted Knutson (@mixedknuts) August 27, 2014
Unsurprisingly, the Spaniard dominated all passing statistics including key passes. The former Barcelona midfielder has made three assists in his first two league games for the Blues.
Arsenal famously chose not to re-sign Cesc after reportedly being offered his services. With a plethora of midfield talent in the Arsenal squad, it was said that Fabregas was surplus to requirements at the Emirates.
Jack Wilshere was cited as one of the creative sparks in Arsenal's midfield who's presence blocked Fabregas from returning to his old club. However, Wilshere's statistics show that perhaps the Gunners made a mistake not signing their former talisman.
Thankfully, Arsenal have Wilshere doing Cesc's work. (I like Jack, but I'm not going to get over this.) pic.twitter.com/XtLB0ZIavP — Ted Knutson (@mixedknuts) August 27, 2014
Oh dear! The season may have just begun but this certainly does not bode well.
