There's a fine line between hijinks and dastardly deeds and my friends, that line has been crossed in Sligo. Somebody with access to a boxcutter dared to rob the above mascot - who looks to us like a Brazilian Kerryman with a bit of a Ronald McDonald nose - from his resting position beneath a stop sign in Toulestrane. There's been no sight or sound of him since, and a ransom note is yet to be dispatched. This text was added to the Sligo GAA website though -

"Our Rhue Tourlestrane Footballer was taken from this position at the cross roads on Saturday last. We don't care who took it or why it was taken, but it is of huge sentimental value to us all especially the Brennan Family in Rhue. Please return it safely ASAP.Tourlestrane GAA Club"
