Andrea Pirlo seems genuinely unhappy that Celtic are being forced to slum it in the early rounds of Champion's League Qualifying after reaching the last-16 last season. The legendary Italian midfielder is quoted in the Scottish Sun. “It’s an insult Celtic have to enter the qualifiers this early on. It is an insult to the history of the club — and to all they have achieved in Europe recently. As champions they should not need to qualify. It is not fitting for a club of their size.”
The Hoops lead Cliftonville 3-0 going into the second leg of their second round qualifier tonight and are likely to face Swedish side Elfsborg in the third round. Neil Lennon showed his appreciation for the endorsement on Twitter.
Thunder in Glasgow..who would've thought?...and my admiration for Andrea Pirlo grows daily

Who knew Pirlo dreamed of playing like Tommy Burns and Paul McStay rather than Baggio or Baresi in his youth? Although Celtic fans may argue the 34-year-old is merely an advocate of justice.
