Yeovil's Paddy Madden was today called up to the Ireland squad for next week's friendly against Wednesday, but just how much do we know about the latest addition to Giovani Trapattoni's squad?

1. Madden began his career at Bohemians in 2008 and subsequently played with Shelbourne on loan.

2. The Dubliner joined Carlisle United of League One in January 2011.

3. Madden joined Yeovil Town on loan in October 2012, scoring 9 times in 16 games before signing permanently.

4. By the season's end Paddy had scored 25 times and was League One's top scorer, culminating with a goal in the Playoff Final against Brentford in May.

5. He has represented Ireland at Under 18, 19, 21 and 23 level, as well as the League of Ireland XI against Manchester United at the Aviva in 2010.
