With a selection of Man United legends taking on a selection of Celtic and Ireland players on Tuesday for Liam Miller's tribute match, one name may strike you as unfamiliar in the squad list.
Kevin Pilkington has been named as one of the players on the panel for the United legends side, but for those of you who are unaware of his links to Manchester, here is a brief explanation.
Who Is Kevin Pilkington?
Kevin Pilkington is currently a goalkeeping coach at Cambridge United, but as a player the Englishman turned out for Manchester United between 1992 and 1998.
Pilkington made eight appearances for the Red Devils during that time, though his period at the club was broken up by loan spells with Rochdale, Rotherham United and Celtic.
Pilkington left Manchester United in 1998 for Port Vale but only made 23 appearances for the side over the course of two years. The keeper would eventually find a home at Mansfield Town, making 170 appearances for the Stags before moving on to Notts County where he would make a further 141 appearances.
Pilkington was appointed goalkeeping coach of Northern Premier League Division One South side Ilkeston in 2011, while still on the books as a player at Luton Town. After that he would go on to become the goalkeeping coach at Notts County before eventually moving to Cambridge United in a coaching capacity.
The former keeper has been named in the Manchester United Legends panel for tomorrow's game in Páirc Uí Chaoimh, with Mike Phelan tweeting out the official squads for both teams on Monday:
The game will be broadcast on free-to-air channel Virgin Media 3 from 2.00pm and will be hosted by Tommy Martin with commentary from Trevor Welch and Keith Andrews.
Highlights of the match will be shown on Virgin Media One at 10.00 pm.Virgin Media have also announced that all advertising and sponsorship revenues from the broadcast of the match will go to the Liam Miller Fund.
