According to Spanish publication El Pais, Jose Mourinho has signed a pre-contract to become the next manager of Man Utd.
Diego Torres - who two years ago penned the excellent 'The Special One: The Dark Side of Jose Mourinho' - reports that the Portuguese manager's deal includes a clause which would compensate him should he not be officially appointed as next Man Utd manager by certain dates.
£5 million will be due to Mourinho should the full contract not be signed by May 1st. If he has not been appointed by June 1st, then he will be due a further £10 million.
The compensation deal is thought to be in place to buy Man Utd time as some individuals at the club have reservations regarding the appointment of Mourinho.
Along with news of this pre-contract, there is some transfer gossip. Miguel Delaney reports that Mourinho that if Mourinho succeeds Louis van Gaal, he has already identified Harry Kane as his number one transfer target.
