Call on Ian Harte, he wants to play and rising Irish star and club teammate is backing him all the way. Long tells the Evening Herald

“He could easily have stayed at Carlisle and seen out his career there, but he got the chance to move up a division by coming to Reading. He wanted to play at the highest level possible and he’s shown with his form that he’s well able to do it. If he keeps playing well and scoring goals it will be hard to ignore him.”

Harte responded in the Bracknell Forest Standard tonight with

“All I have to do is concentrate on what I am doing here and if I do get a call-up then it would be fantastic. I will keep trying to play well game in game out.”

And as one of the Standard's readers noted

Paddy's could have done with Harte taking the spot kick last night, woeful effort from Keane.
