Simeone Zaza took by far the most comical penalty in recent memory when he missed against Germany last night.

What's worse - he was the penalty taking expert that Antonio Conte brought on with seconds left of the game to give them a chance to win the shootout. Zaza was the second Italian to take one in the shootout, and with that sort of run-up - you'd expect him to have had enough practise to not make that much of a mistake.

But does Zaza have a history of doing that when taking a penalty?

Yes, yes he does.

Here he is taking one against Inter earlier this year:

Credit to Zaza, the goalkeeper looks incredibly confused about what Zaza is doing - and he's able to just nonchalantly pass the ball into the net.
