Michail Antonio has been a roaring success ever since West Ham made the decision to pluck him from The Championship after a bright spell for Nottingham Forest last season.

Antonio's rise to the Premier League has been unusual to say the least. After his Mum refused to allow him to join the Spurs academy at 14, he had to go the non-league route and eventually worked his way up, but before he was a footballer he spent time as a lifeguard.

Speaking to Tubes of Soccer AM (one week after a great interview with Robbie Keane aired), Antonio explained why he was so really didn't enjoy his time pool-side.

Kid is struggling? "Grab the pole... Come on... Now get out."

Michail Antonio seems like a great bloke.
