West Ham are seriously struggling in their Europa League qualifier second leg against Maltese side Birkirkara.

Pro Evolution Soccer fans will be delighted to know that Fabrizio Miccoli put the home side in front after 15 mins, to level the scores on aggregate, and that's how it finished after 90 mins as both sides entered extra-time.

Just before the half-time whistle West Ham defender James Tomkins was sent off for essentially giving his marker The Rock Bottom at an indirect free-kick inside the penalty area, as he grabbed the Birkirkara player and threw him to the grond.

Madness.

Ironically, since qualifying for the Europa League due to the FIFA Fair Play award, West Ham have now had a player sent off in each of their qualifying ties.
