West Ham United were not just eliminated from the FA Cup on Friday night, they were humiliated as Manchester City cruised to a 5-0 win.
With the team badly struggling since leaving Upton Park, and derisory bids of £6m for Jermaine Defoe and £3m for Robert Snodgrass being ridiculed and mocked on social media, the Hammers fans would have hoped that a big FA Cup performance could ease some worries surrounding the club, but sadly that was not to be.
After David Silva made it 3-0 before half-time, it was clear that West Ham were just not up to it.
It was 4-0 just five minutes into the second half, and so many of the fans had seen enough that there were queues to get out of London Stadium.

Embarrassing was also the word used by Alan Shearer when describing the night as a whole.
After Frank Lampard suggested that leaving Upton Park has had an effect on both the players and the fans, Shearer refused to accept that as an excuse.
It's a frustrating time to be a West Ham fan, and with Slaven Bilic having not signed an extension to keep him at the club past 2018, there is growing unrest at the direction the club is going in.
One of the main complaints is that by putting in ridiculous bids for the likes of Defoe and Snodgrass, and chasing unattainable players like Moussa Dembele and Anthony Martial on loan, the club are making themselves look busy in the market without having to spend any money.
On the back of a fairly shocking summer transfer window, reinforcements are needed. It seemed as though the club's recruitment policy was in great shape this time last year, but now questions are being asked and the answers are not satisfactory.
For Man City, it's a confidence boosting win and progression in the FA Cup. Just what Pep was hoping for.
