West Ham United today confirmed the signing of midfielder Pedro Obiang from Serie A side Sampdoria, and the news has been met with optimism and positivty by the majority of West Ham fans.
One thing that has not been met with positivity, however, was a tweet from the West Ham owner David Gold, who meant well when he attempted to welcome Obiang to the club with a nice tweet, but he probably should have done a bit more research on the player, as he mistakenly posted a picture of Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.

Oh dear.
The tweet was quickly deleted, but in today's digital age the damage was already done. It's not quite as bad as the Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain/Kieran Gibbs mixup, but if you're the owner of a football club and involved in the negotiations to sign players, you should probably know what they look like.
