West Ham chairman, David Gold, is excellent at selling knickers and other assorted adult implements. He may be the ultimate realisation of Del Boy done good but he's nothing if not a savvy business man. Having said that, he's bloody awful at realising when the mickey is being taken out of him on twitter.

First up in his roll of honour was a mistake of his own doing. West Ham were just after shelling out for Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang from Sampdoria so Gold took to twitter to announce the deal by attaching a picture of Italian defender Angelo Ogbonna.

At the time, Ogbonna was playing for Juventus, Sure enough, he signed for West Ham a month later but nonetheless, Gold's poor twitter form had begun. Which brings us on to the classic one for West Ham fans.

Having signed Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest in the summer, the hefty winger took a while to find his feet in the Premier League. He's since more than proved his worth but, back in November, he was the forgotten man of West Ham's transfer campaign, cue one fans tweeting a picture to Gold, asking him to retweet to raise awareness for his missing 'mate'.

Fool me once, shame on you and all that but it seems Gold is yet to learn his lesson. It came a couple of days before April Fools but it's funny any day of the year.

Sure enough, Gold was only too happy to give a shout out to Trish and Nidge, Ireland's most loved up couple.

Here's to many more years together.
