There was quarter of an hour remaining at Carrow Road on Saturday evening when the persistence of Wes Hoolahan won the Ireland international some space in the Wolves box with just Carl Ikeme between him and the goal.
Hoolahan went down as the keeper challenged for the ball. Wolves players were convinced that Hoolahan had dived and protested at referee David Coote's awarding of a pentalty.
It was a crucial moment in a game which was in the balance at 1-1.
Ikeme was sent-off meaning that Hoolahan's fellow Dubliner, Wolves left-back Matt Doherty, would face Robbie Brady from the spot. Brady made no mistake with the penalty, giving his side a 2-1 lead. They would go on to win 3-1.
From the replay, it certainly appears that Hoolahan dived to win the penalty.
This morning Ikeme, after taking some time to deliberate, called out Hoolahan for diving. He also accused Hoolhan of going down a little too easy when the Wolves keeper shoved him in the chest as his teammates surrounded the midfielder after the awarding of the penalty.
You can watch the incident at around the 1:20 mark below.
