There's nothing like a bit of live football on free-to-air tv. When a game is on one of the terrestrial channels, it immediately becomes more interesting. Even if you have the sports channels at home, seeing a game on the regular stations makes it feel like a bit of a treat.
The news last week that ITV will show 38 live La Liga games this season was met with a hugely positive reaction, and we will be keeping an eye out for their schedule over the remainder of the season.
Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao got things underway last Friday night, and we hardly could have had a more dramatic start to the season. Bilbao would win the game 1-0, with 38-year old Aritz Aduriz scoring a stunning bicycle kick late on to grab three points for his side.

Not bad for an auld fella.
ITV have announced this weekend's game, and it looks like an exciting one. They will broadcast Barcelona's clash with Real Betis on Sunday evening, as the Catalan side look to bounce back after their defeat last week.
The game will be broadcast on ITV4, with kick-off at 8pm.
Real Betis finished 10th in La Liga last season, but will be hoping to vault up the table this term. They lost their best player in Giovani Lo Celso, but did bring in Nabil Fekir from Lyon.
This pair split the games between them last season, each claiming one win. Betis defeated 4-3 Barcelona in a dramatic encounter at the Camp Nou, before they avenged that loss with a 4-1 hammering in the return fixture the following March.
After missing the game last week due to injury, Lionel Messi is also set to return to the Barcelona team. Betis play an attractive brand of football, so everything is set up for this to be an entertaining clash.
