Get used to Friday night football but it'll be a reality in a matter of months. Today, Sky Sports announced the dates for their first part of their live Premier League coverage for the upcoming season, and along with that we've been given confirmation of a Friday night game.
Aston Villa vs Man United on August 14th.
Rather than a regular feature of this season, this fixture is instead going to be something of a taster with regular Friday night fixtures not set to kick into gear until the 16/17 season. The cause for the change of date is rather unbelievable.
Aston Villa will play Man Utd on Friday Aug 14 due to EDL march on Aug 15. But regular Fri night matches don't start until 16/17 season.

Yes, that'd be a march of the English Defence League the following day. You know, these guys.
We'll let that speak for itself.
Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see what kind of effect the Friday night game has on the Premier League, as well as the possible knock on effect for the League of Ireland.
