Manchester United fans will be grinning from ear to ear as their team comfortably beat Southampton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Friday night.
Zlatan bagged a brace to make it three goals in two games, and Paul Pogba managed to do alright for himself as well.
Pogba's stats tonight are exceptional:
Highest numbers out of anyone in: ball recoveries, take-ons, chances created and interceptions.— Liam Canning (@LiamPaulCanning) August 19, 2016
Earlier in the evening we saw that Pogba and Zlatan had already become good pals, judging by the Frenchman's impression of the big Swede in an interview with Thierry Henry, but if there was any doubt, the post-match interview well and truly ended that.
Geoff Shreeves asked Pogba whether or not he thought he could have scored right at the death, and Zlatan decided to give his opinion.
Great stuff.
Interestingly, Zlatan heaped praise on Wayne Rooney albeit from a prompt from Geoff Shreeves, whereas the Man United captain was once again the subject of heavy criticism on social media.
It will be a headache for Jose Mourinho for sure, but a good headache. Manchester United appear to be back to their best, and with more players returning to the side, there's good reason for the optimism surrounding the team.
