Ahead of the Manchester derby this weekend which will pit Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola against each other as managers of United and City for the first time, experts have been giving their opinions as two how the match will be won, and how both teams will have been preparing to face their opposition.
But few experts will be able to call on recent experience of both managers, something the perennially classy Xabi Alonso can say that he has having played under Jose at Real Madrid, and Pep at Bayern Munich.
Alonso joined his former teammate Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports to break down the difference in tactics between the two managers in order to give us an insight as to how the match might play out, and it was a typically enjoyable watch.
He definitely has a career as a pundit waiting for him if he wants it, provided he doesn't become a professor or the prime minister of Spain or something.
A very intelligent man and one hell of a footballer, more of Xabi Alonso on television, please.
