You can't help but feel bad for former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes after his first start at home for Standard Liege in Belgium turned out to be a bit of a disaster.
There was always bound to be some rust considering he spent the last 9 months or so being frozen out at Old Trafford under Louis Van Gaal, but he will still be very disappointed to have made an error that ended up costing his team dearly.
With Standard Liege 1-0 up, Valdes flapped badly at a corner and the ball was eventually sent over the line in comical fashion:
Oh dear..
St.Truiden would go on to win the match 2-1, with that shocking mistake proving to be the turning point in the match.
