Sometimes you see something so bizarre that you genuinely struggle to believe what you saw, and that must be said after possibly the worst dive ever was witnessed at Celtic Park in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday night.

With the scores level in injury time, Valencia player David Pascual had the task of playing a simple ball back to the keeper as he was pressured by a Celtic forward, but instead he folded like a house of cards:

Worst dive ever? And the ref bought it!

The first reaction upon viewing is that there has to be something else going on.

Did he suddenly cramp up and hit the deck, or maybe he injured himself? It appears not, as he easily gets back to his feet and walks off after the whistle is blown... It actually may just be the worst dive ever. Up there with Alberto Gilardino, also against Celtic, for sure.

Celtic went on to lose on penalties. Had the referee laughed in the young Spaniard's face like he should have, then the Celtic attacker was clean through on goal, so they have a clear right to be aggrieved.

Embarrassing for the ref, utterly shameful for the player. A disaster all-around.
