There's a reason why every time you see one player talking to another player in the tunnel, on the pitch, or on the bench in Spain, or when a Spanish side is playing, the players cover their mouth.
It's because Spanish tabloids are absolutely obsessed with drama, and hire lip-readers to reveal what the players are saying to each other.
This obsession with drama has forced Cristiano Ronaldo to become extremely selective of who in the media he talks to, as reporters seem obsessed with creating a rift between him and his teammates and managers. That's bad news for Gareth Bale it seems, as an unnecessarily awkward interview has surfaced where Bale is probed about his relationship with Ronaldo, and it's actually frustrating to watch:
This is then reported as:
"Gareth Bale refuses to call Cristiano Ronaldo the best player in the World."
This is after a routine 4-1 win for Real over Getafe.
You can tell that the players don't respond well to that line of questioning, and yet the questions keep coming. It's got to be very annoying for the likes of Bale who can only say "You'll have to ask him." to most of their questions.
